Strelitzia Consulting (P) Ltd has been named after The Strelitzia flower, which is also known as the Bird of Paradise Plant. Strelitzia is a spectacular, unmistakable and the unchallenged Queen of the house plant world. The flowers look incredibly like the head of a rather exotic crested bird. As the plant ages, the blooms also get larger and larger. The leaves are evergreen and emerge one at a time, making a fan-shaped crown. The flowers are predominately orange with a touch of blue. Strelitzia is majestic in nature and very easy to grow. These plants are truly spectacular, not just in their flowers but also in their size. They always make a statement and will command attention above everything around it.

The Strelitzia is the official flower of Los Angeles, although it originates from South Africa. It also has a royal origin as it was named after an English Queen; Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1744 – 1818).

Each individual is like the Strelitzia flower and has the innate ability to blossom into a majestic personality, given the right environment, skills and knowledge. While we admire the royalty and the majestic nature of the flower, the very reason it has bloomed into one are due to the following reasons:

Growth and nourishment	If we want lots of growth and eventually flowers, the Strelitzia would need bright light and also some sunlight. The Strelitzia can cope with a darker position, but growth will be much slower and the likely hood of flowers is lower. The plants in brighter, warmer spots are going to need considerably more watering than those in darker positions.	For a person to grow into a happy and successful individual, he/she needs the right environment and the right nourishment. This will make the individual thrive and ready to acquire new knowledge and skills. Similar to the Strelitzia in a bright and warm spot, an individual in the same environment will be hungry for knowledge which in turn stimulates growth.
Environment	Average home conditions would be fine, especially if the spot chosen for the plant is brightly lit or Sunny. It needs warmth to grow well and a cooler temperature in Winter.	A loving and supportive home and learning environment is the perfect environment for an individual to thrive and develop into a well-rounded individual.
Space	In the early years it is fine to repot each Spring, However, keeping the Strelitzia confined to a pot will restrict its growth and prevent the flowers from blossoming. If it is kept pot-bound, Strelitzia will eventually distort and bulge horribly. Therefore, prepare to cut it free and repot to a larger pot and you get a royal and majestic flower.	Giving adequate space for an individual to grow is of utmost importance. Self-discovery, learning from mistakes, curiosity, self-learning and survival of the self are the human ways of adapting to the space given for an individual to thrive. This facilitates development of the various abilities which are innately within us.
Speed of Growth	The speed of growth of the Strelitzia, in good conditions, can be seen with roughly one new leaf each month during the growing seasons. Visually this may not seem much, but the roots are truly monstrous and will fill a pot in no time making this quite a fast growing plant.	While the physical growth of an individual is visible, the real growth is in terms of having strong grounded roots to his/her personality. This facilitates a well-rounded personality with growth in desired abilities.
