Anusha Subramanian is an award-winning journalist, a British Chevening Scholar, a TEDx Gateway Speaker, and a Mountaineer. She has a versatile journalism career, covering from general news to business & economics to advertising & business of Bollywood. She is a two-time recipient of the Press Club’s Red Ink National Award for excellence in journalism. While she continues doing Independent journalism, she quit her job as a full-time journalist in 2013 to pursue her interests in mountaineering and social causes. In 2014, volunteered with Goonj and worked towards setting up a relief camp in Kashmir and served over 2000 families in villages in and around Srinagar that were affected by the floods. In Sep 2020, she spoke at the TEDx Gateway Versova chapter on ‘Embracing Inclusion in the Outdoors’ under the theme ‘Empowerment.
